We all have dreams and everyday we wish we were close to achieving them. Unfortunately, the reality that stares us in the face is the fact that most people are so far from achieving their dreams. Did you write down goals to achieve in 2011? How well did you do with them? Do you know these things do not need to keep repeating themselves year-in, year-out. You can take a step closer…Yes, you can take a step closer to our dreams even before the year runs out.

How? As difficult as it seems, it’s actually simple. You can move closer to your dreams before the end of this year, simply by:

TAKING ACTION.

Yep, it’s that simple.

The truth is, you probably know what to do or at least you have an inkling of what is required of you to achieve your goals, the problem is, you haven’t taken the required steps. Michelle Keesling quipped, ‘Fate knows where you are going but it is up to you to drive there’. Why not move from wishing things were better to actually making them better?

Fulfilment of purpose, achievement of dreams, change, financial increment etc all happen by taking a STEP OF FAITH (TAKING ACTION). ‘Without motion, nothing moves’. Action…calculated and targeted action is the key ingredient.

Why don’t you start taking action today? You know what to do…DO IT! You’ve written the to-do list before…take it up from where you stopped…DO THE NEXT THING ON THE LIST! Give that business idea a try…it’s most likely not as risky as you fear or think, besides, nothing ventured…nothing gained. Don’t be overwhelmed, just take one step at a time because the beautiful thing about it is that a singular accomplished task is A STEP CLOSER. You will feel it and you will breathe it…that sigh of relief.

Let me leave you with the words of Florence Nightingale “I think one’s feelings waste themselves in words, they ought to be distilled into action which brings results”.

I re-echo the notes of Francis of Assisi: “Start by doing what’s necessary; then, do what’s possible; and suddenly you’ll be doing the impossible”.

Do not let the year end without you taking a step closer…
