The No 1 thing to look out for before joining a Network Marketing company!
I know a lot of people are of the opinion that the most important thing to look out for when picking an MLM company to work with is the compensation plan. Well, as much as I agree that the compensation plan is important, I earnestly believe that the most important thing to consider before joining a network marketing company is their ‘Recruitment strategy’ or ‘Recruitment plan’. The recruitment plan would determine whether you would ever leverage on other people’s efforts(OPE) to earn residual passive income or you would have to keep working for life and only earn when you personally recruit downlines.
Let me throw more light on the above:
Some companies require that you recruit every month before you can earn irrespective of the fact that your downlines are actively recruiting and there is activity going on within your team. So, if there is extensive activity within your team by other team members you would still not earn because you did not personally sponsor anybody that month. Some say you have to personally sponsor two in a month before you can enjoy the benefit of the effort of your downlines. Well, that should not be so and it just does not add up. Or why else do I call myself a business owner if I cannot leverage on the hardwork of my team members? How can I claim to be a business owner if I have to keep working for the rest of my life before I earn? No, that’s what employees and self-employed people do. I believe that, just as it does for me, this should go against your ‘WHY” i.e. your reason for starting a Network Marketing business in the first place.
I particularly joined my primary business because of the following reasons:
- 1. They pay weekly: this helps my mindset shift from the monthly salary thing to the endless earning possibilities that are before me. Also, even though they pay weekly, there is also the possibility of earning daily.
- I do not have to recruit every week/month before I earn: as long as there is activity in my genealogy i.e. from members above or under me, I would still earn whether I get people that week or not.
- It offers me opportunities for ‘Multiple Streams of Income’: there are several avenues to wealth contained within that one business.
- It offers me the opportunity of investment vehicles that I would personally not be able to afford.
- And much more.
Now of all the things listed above, I strongly believe that the most important is No 2 because that is actually what makes our prospects turn around and say no because they think they do not know how to bring people/get downlines and also what makes people quit in this business. Also, it does not encourage leadership i.e. encouraging and assisting your team members to build their businesses because you are forever going to be focused on recruiting people for the rest of your life.
So, dear friend, remember to watch out for this particular point before joining any network marketing company. As it would ultimately determine how you end up in this industry in the long haul.
This is just my strong opinion and belief or what do you think? Drop a comment and share your point of view.
